AYLA CHANDOLA
Ayla is a multidisciplinary graphic designer whose work explores the relationship between digital and physical media, creating visual systems that balance structure with experimentation. Drawing from contemporary culture and tactile processes, her work uses typography, composition, and texture to communicate both clarity and emotion. Her process moves between analog and digital methods, resulting in layered, intentional outcomes that reflect an ongoing interest in how design shapes perception.
BRIAN ENO: AND TIME GOES FASTER
I conceptualized and printed this 33-page book with a plastic slipcover, showcasing the life of musician and artist Brian Eno. As you move through the publication, the layout gradually shifts to reflect his growing distance from his creative practice over time.
REFECIO MASCARA PACKAGING
The conceptual brand Refecio reimagines clinical contact dermatitis products through a more modern, engaging lens. It addresses a gap in the market by combining medical functionality with elevated imagery and artistry, making products that improve quality of life feel exciting, not purely clinical.
SOC BUSINESS CARDS
By redesigning the SOC business cards, I highlight the playfulness and sense of personality that defines the Student Organization Council. By incorporating the full range of brand colors, each card feels cohesive with the overall identity while also making connection more approachable with SOC team members as well as more engaging and memorable.
MEDIEVAL WORLD THROUGH LITERATURE BOOK DESIGN
I explored how authors portray medieval periods across different regions, highlighting works from each era. Using historic fonts and experimental layouts, I combined traditional references with modern design elements. As the reader moves through the book, a shifting color gradient gives each time period a distinct and bold visual identity.
CAFE BUSTELO PACKAGING DESIGN
I redesigned Café Bustelo’s Instant Espresso Sticks by creating three holiday editions, Día de los Reyes Magos, Día de los Muertos, and Copacabana, while maintaining the brand’s iconic red and yellow for consistency. I also developed a refreshed logotype and distinct graphic elements for each edition, celebrating each holiday while preserving Café Bustelo’s timeless identity.
