CADENCE UZARRAGA

Cadence Uzarraga is a Chicago- and Bay Area-based Graphic Designer specializing in brand identity, environmental design, publication, and packaging. Her work blends design with hand-lettering and illustration, bringing an expressive, personal touch to each project. As a Filipino-American woman, Cadence's practice is rooted in themes of representation and identity, using design as a tool for visibility and community.

HARMONIYA

Harmoniya is a Chicago-based music and arts festival that spotlights and uplifts Asian artists. The Asian music scene is largely concentrated on the West and East coasts, namely California and New York. Harmoniya fills the gap, bringing Asian music, art, and culture to the Midwest. The festival happens at the end of May, closing out Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

SARAP!

Sarap!, meaning delicious or yummy in Tagalog, is a dynamic print and digital publication committed to delivering fresh perspectives by providing a platform for unique and underrepresented Filipino voices. The aesthetic vision of Sarap! blends Philippine and American aesthetics, featuring rich, earthy tones reminiscent of Filipino cuisine and Western type and layout conventions.

CADENZA

Cadenza is the ultimate one-stop shop for any and all musical needs. From sheet music to musical instruments, new to used items, Cadenza has it all. Cadenza started from a set of musical instrument icons, with all branding and style choices deriving from the icon design.

BINGGRAE FLAVORED MILK

Binggrae is a nostalgic South Korean food and beverage corporation most known for its ice cream, milk, and snack products. Meaning smile in Korean, Binggrae’s philosophy is to make customers smile by contributing to the development of the dairy industry. Binggrae’s rebrand is inspired by Hallyu, or the Korean Wave, referring to the recent global popularity of South Korean pop culture. The milk carton redesign aims to expand the brand to an international audience, specifically young adults who are more open to exploring unique flavors and cultural products.

PEDWAY

The outdated, confusing, and inconsistent branding and signage of the current Pedway system make it difficult to decipher what pathways actually qualify as the Pedway, giving the Pedway a reputation as a labyrinth of endless tunnels. The rebranded Pedway system features a cohesive identity that aligns with Chicago’s official design system, creating a more intuitive wayfinding experience that simplifies navigation and unifies the network.

JEANNIE BAKES

Jeannie Bakes is a home-baking business run by Jeannie Sanpakit Leiterman. Based in Berrien County, Michigan, Jeannie Bakes produces a variety of baked goods, specializing in custom buttercream cookies and cake designs. With a cute and elevated style, Jeannie Bakes aims to create freshly baked sweet treats that look just as good as they taste.
